Raid M. Al-Ani is a Professor in the Department of Surgery, Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, in the College of Medicine at University of Anbar, Ramadi City, Anbar, Iraq. He is also a surgeon at Al-Ramadi Teaching Hospital. His Academic degrees are a Fellowship of Iraqi Board of Medical Specializations (FIBMS), MRCS-Edinburgh, and Fellow of the European Board of ORL-HNS (FEBORLHNS). In addition, to his health care provider for the patients with Ear, Nose, and Throat problems for 24 years, he has been one of the teaching staff of the college for 19 years. Al-Ani is a member of the Iraqi National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges. He has authored more than 50 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals in the field of Otolaryngology. He is a peer reviewer of more than 40 scientific journals. His research focuses on the diseases of Otolaryngology in general. He is one of editorial board of the World Journal of Otorhinolaryngology and an associate editor of Journal of Medical Case Reports. Dr. Raid M Al-Ani is the Editor-in-Chief of Al-Anbar Medical Journal since March 2019.

A graduate of Basra Medical College (1987-Honor), a fellow of the Iraqi Commission for Medical Specializations (FICMS) in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery (1995), Lecturer (1995-1998) and Assistant Professor (1998-2004) at Basra Medical College, Professor and Director of Iraqi Board Students (Sulaymaniyah-Iraq) since 2004 with 78 published articles till 2023, beside one book (Surgery for Left Ventricular Aneurysm: our Experience), and a thesis entitled (Pulmonary Hydatid Disease). I was the supervisor of 19 PhD theses, and the chairman or member of examining committees of another 19 PhD theses (till 2023). Moreover, I am a regular participant in the final examinations of Iraqi Board students in Thoracic and Cardiovascular surgery/ Baghdad and a regular reviewer of medical papers from national and international medical journals.

Adj Assoc Prof Husain is the current Director of Regional and Community Eyecare for Singhealth, as well as being a Senior Consultant at Singapore national eye Centre (glaucoma service). He was the previous Head of the eye service at CGH. He qualified from University College London Medical School and completed basic surgical training in the south of England. From 2002 to 2004 he was employed by the Institute of Ophthalmology (London) as a Clinical Research Fellow at Singapore National Eye Centre where he ran the Singapore 5-Fluorouracil Trabeculectomy Study. This large study examined the natural history of glaucoma surgery and in particular examined the effects of an anti-scarring agent on surgical outcomes. He was also involved in other research projects in patients with Primary Angle Closure Glaucoma, namely the Angle Closure Natural History Study and the ACLIPS study. Whilst in Singapore, he also took part in several epidemiological surveys in Indonesia to describe the prevalence and causes of Low Vision and cataract in that group of people. He returned to England to complete his higher surgical training and went on the gain specialist fellowship training in glaucoma at St Thomas’ and Kings College Hospitals, London.
Adj Assoc Prof Husain has published numerous articles and given many presentations, mainly on the subject of glaucoma and recently has focused on the interaction between glaucoma surgery and cataract surgery.

Ateş Kadıoğlu was born in 1959. He graduated from Istanbul Boy's High School. He graduated from Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1983. He served as a resident until 1990 in the same faculty, and then served as the chief resident. He was entitled associate professor in 1994, and then as professor in 2000. Prof. Kadıoğlu worked as the President of the Turkish Society of Andrology between 2002 and 2009. Currently, he is the Honorary President of the Turkish Society of Andrology. He is the head of the Division of Andrology in Istanbul Faculty of Medicine.

Professor Hammad Ather is a consultant urologist professor and head of Urology at the Aga Khan University, Karachi. He is an editorial board member of many international urological journals, and author of over 130 articles in international peer reviewed journals, written 10 book chapters and is editor of 5 books published by international books. He is also an adviser and reviewer for over two dozen international urological journals, and for dissertations and thesis at various universities nationally and internationally. Prof. Ather was trained in Karachi and London. BiographyDr. Ali Thwaini
After graduating from medical school, Baghdad University in 1994, Dr Thwaini relocated to Jordan where he started his career in Urology at the Royal Medical Services, which is a national tertiary referral center. He acquired FRCS (Ireland) in 1999 and the Jordanian Board in Urology in 2000.
He then moved to Abu Dhabi where he worked for three years as a specialist at SKMC. He acquired the Arab Board in Urology in 2001.
In 2004 he moved to the UK, where he finished his MD degree from Queen Mary University of London. His thesis was on prostate cancer. In 2007 he entered the UK national higher training scheme in urology. This took place in Northern Ireland, where he worked in Belfast City Hospital, Altnagelvin Hospital and Craigavon Hospital, working with regional and national experts in the field. During his training, Dr Thwaini developed specialist interest in urological cancers. He completed his training in 2012 by acquiring the Intercollegiate Specialty Board Certificate in Urology (FRCS-Urology) and he acquired the CCT UK-wide accreditation.
Work Experience
Dr Thwaini has been working as a consultant urological surgeon with specialist interest in urological cancers, namely in renal cancers. Prof. Salvatore Micali is an expert in Urology and andrology. He deals with prostate cancer, benign prostatic hypertrophy, robotic surgery, renal uterine stones, andrology and bladder cancer. He is an expert in the removal of bladder tumors with an innovative technique called en bloc.
